From ball gowns to pantsuits, and backless to covered from head to toe, this years MET gala was one of the most exciting in fashion that we have ever seen thus far.
The best part of the MET gala is to see how each celebrity competes with their fellow red carpet slayers in who wins best dressed every year.
I'll have to hold my hand up high and say that it was truthfully one of the hardest decisions in making who my favourite dressed celeb was. Heres a list of my top 5 picks for this year's MET gala super stars

Rosé All Day.

Help me pick my jaw up off the floor PLEASE! I'm head-over-heels in LOVE with this fushcia Chanel ball gown worn by the ever so chic, Lily-Rose Depp.
Leave it up to Chanel to create a modern, yet vintage design that has an 80's/Cinderella influence to it. Her intense cat eye makeup and pretty little updo take us back to the classic Audrey times which most of us ladies wish we got to experience.
Not only will this colour somehow make it into all of our wardrobes this summer, but this look will be one of Miss Lily-Rose's best ones yet!

Red HOT.

Who doesn't love a sexy little mermaid style gown...in RED!? Me me me me me!! Emma Roberts resembled old Hollywood glamour as she waltzed the red carpet wearing a vintage inspired Diane Von Furstenberg gown. The dramatic train and subtle cleavage line had pretty floral lace which gave the mermaid gown a little extra sexiness. She was accessoried with a pink fur stole and had a new beautiful brunette colour for her hair that was styled in soft, smooth curls. She was the definition of Jessica Rabit the night of the MET gala.

Show Stopper

Im pretty sure everyone stood dead in their tracks when Blake Lively and her hubby, Ryan Reynolds stepped out of their ride and onto the red carpet at the Met Gala last Sunday. She wore a gold, chainlink detailed down with a blue feathered train by Atelier Versace.
$3.5 million dollars worth of Lorraine Schwartz and Ofira Jewels made her glisten next to Ryan in his blue bow tie that matched the blue feathers in her show-stopping gown. Blake Lively always looks so well put together and glows like a golden goddess MAMA!

Ciao Bella!

There's no doubt in my mind that Zendaya rocked. I mean ROCKED the MET gala red carpet in an a-m-a-z-i-n-g Dolce and Gabanna ballgown with the most gorgeous pattern. This was one of the most dramatic and daring looks without looking crazy (like riri and Katy). THIS is the sort of drama I want to see more of at the MET gala's.
Zendaya'a gown was a whimsical parrot print, off-the-shoulder ballgown in rich, vibrant colours which reminded me of something you'd see in the Louis XIV era. She literally wore a work of art which no one could compete with. In my eyes, Zendaya had the best look for this years MET gala. Thanks to the Italians, Stefano Gabanna and Domenico Dolce. Ciao Bella!

Kim Sans Kanye Sans Style?

I'm sorry, but I just HAD to add this to my list even though it was NOT a favourite. Kim Kardashian blew me away with how toned down and how NOT Kim of her! She wore an off-the-shoulder white Vivienne Westwood minimalist gown with zero accessories and a simple strappy heel. Her hair was as sleek as cleopatras lob and her makeup.. well it always looks perfect.
Her look was quite minimalist and made us all (I think) wonder if Kanye had anything to do with this and if he's taking the glamour of of Kim. Her sisters definitely screamed Kardashian in backless, skin tight, body hugging outfits that really made Kim's look a bit confusing to the typical Kardashian look that we all know.
Tsk tsk tsk Kimmy! We all expected more.
